Technology
Information technology is a tool that is interwoven through a child’s learning process at the Fairfax Christian School. Technology is not to be used as a crutch, but to enhance learning. Fairfax Christian School students have laptop computers available for the classrooms and middle and high school students are required to have iPads. Other tools, from DVDs to graphic calculators are used to facilitate the learning process. Students are taught not just how to use technology, but why and how technology works.
At the Fairfax Christian School, technology is not a substitute for critical thinking. Nor is extensive time spent learning programs that will be quickly obsolete. Instead, we focus on traditional curriculum and enhance our learning with technology.
Our ParentsNET intranet allow parents and students to gain information and communicate with faculty. Our on-line grade book system gives real-time access and allows all parents Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade to view student’s attendance and grades.
Please request information or call the school office at 703-759-5100 to set up an educational consultation and tour.
