Real American Manners Camp

To help children become more self-confident and courteous, The Center for American Culture will offer a summer etiquette camp at the Fairfax Christian School. This camp is designed to help students achieve important leadership and social skills.

Students will learn: proper deportment; how to write proper invitations, thank you notes and letters; how to give a party; how to make a phone call; how to be a good guest; how to receive and give gifts; how to dress for different occasions; and table manners for any occasion.

The day camp includes a daily field trip with lunch to a variety of local restaurants, including a formal meal at Hidden Creek Country Club.

Summer English (ESL) For International Students

Students excel in our intensive summer English classes which are designed to quickly increase students’ English skills. Classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are two four-week sessions in July and August. For greatest improvement, students are encouraged to attend both sessions.

Students begin each session with comprehensive placement tests. Test results are then used to place each student in the appropriate levels for phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, conversation, public speaking and TOEFL preparation.

Students work in small groups with personal attention from Fairfax Christian School’s teachers.

The program is offered for middle and high school students, from age 9 and up.
