Summer English Class
for Foreign Students
Summer English Class for Foreign Students July 28, through August 22, 2008
Our intensive summer English class meets from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Summer courses are taught by Fairfax Christian High School teachers.
The program is offered for beginning and intermediate English students entering grades five and up.
Topics covered depend on the students’ level and include phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, conversation, public speaking, and TOEFL preparation.
Transportation is available to limited areas, upon sufficient demand. Bus service for individual students cannot be guaranteed before June 30, 2008. Tentative transportation arrangements will be made before this date.
Fees
$200 Non-Refundable Deposit (paid with application)
$1,200 Tuition, Books & Supplies (balance due by July 28)
$430 Transportation (due by July 28)
All fees, including the deposit, will be refunded if the bus service is requested on the application and we cannot provide bus service. Summer fees are otherwise non-refundable.
Grades
A final grade will be issued at the conclusion of the course. High school students may receive one academic credit.
Lunch
Participants bring a bag lunch from home. Beverages will be provided by the school.
Dressing for Summer School
Casual dress is permitted during the summer. Any short pants must be knee length. Sweat pants and T-shirts with slogans or pictures are not acceptable. Dress should be neat, modest and presentable. Students should prepare for air conditioning.
